The Experience
Aroma - fragrant dark plum, wild berries & truffles, with minerals, and hints of new oak.

Palate - Rich, ripe and fleshy with black and red currants, chocolate soft velvety tannins complexed with hints of smoke and earth. Full bodied, classy with a long finish.

The Vineyards
57.1% Vine Cliff Oakville Vineyard, 14.3% Gardner Vineyard, 14.3% Truchard Vineyard, 14.3% Snowden Vineyard. In 1999 a blend of 4 different vineyards produced our best Merlot. Our estate merlot was ripe and concentrated and made up the core of the blend. Other vineyard lots added spice and complexity.

The Winemaking
Hand sorting, gentle handling, gravity racking to barrels. Minimum intervention with no fining or filtration
